The rear axle is another Solid Axle high-pinion Dana 60 in full-float form. Inside are the same chromoly shafts, 5.38 gears, and a spool for strength and simplicity. Rear lift comes from another set of Alcans built with 8 1/2 inches of lift, but they are used in a spring-under configuration to help minimize axle wrap. Both axles use disc brakes. Front and rear driveshafts are Tom Wood's units using 1350 series joints.
