Since Chris works for ATS Diesel, it’s only natural that he entrusted transmission duties to one of their Stage 4 Allison A1000 five-speed automatics. It’s built with heavy-duty shafts, clutches and bands and uses a deep sump oil pan for extra oil capacity. A 5-Star torque converter delivers the power from the Cummins to the Allison. Chris tells us the Allison A1000 five-speed has been able to handle the power of the Cummins easily while being incredibly reliable at sled pull events.
