AEV’s rear bumper looks subtle but is loaded with features. Each rear corner is guarded by a mandrel-bent tube that ties into the chassis at two points. You can actually support the entire vehicle weight on one of these corners, something Steve has inadvertently done. Next, behind the corner tubes reside a pair of polyethylene tanks that hold 2.3 gallons a piece. They’re plumbed together, and the water can be accessed via an optional pump. The bumper’s center section forms a step and is shaped to incorporate the stock rear trailer hitch. All that, and it flows nicely with the JK’s body lines.
