Rant - Editorial - Fabulous Fords

Love them or hate them, there is no denying that the big Blue Oval has truly been making some waves and some headlines in the last number of years. But set aside all the awards, controversies, and accolades, and you have left some very impressive vehicles currently coming off the production line at Ford, which are making even the saltiest Dodge and Chevy owners’ eyebrows rise.

And while I’m not trying to make you switch brands (stay true, Toyota, Chevy, Nissan, and Dodge lovers!), it is impossible to ignore the caliber of trucks that FoMoCo is spitting out of their assembly plants. From the class-of-its-own Raptor to the new Super Duty featuring an in-house-produced Power Stroke diesel, Ford seems to be almost tailoring its trucks toward OFF-ROAD’s readership, who look for toys that can play in the dirt on the weekend but still pound the pavement during the work week.

And that’s why we delivered you this Fabulous Fords issue for February, recognizing some of the outstanding aftermarket products that you can use to customize and personalize your own truck. As much as we love what the factories spit out, we can’t imagine leaving any vehicle stock. And I’m guessing that—if you’re reading this magazine—you’re the same as we are and are always excited to see how you can put your own personal touch on a great truck platform.

So enjoy the read, loyal OFF-ROAD readers, and don’t fret, you non-Ford guys; we’ll have bunches more Chevy, Dodge, Nissan, and Toyota coverage and modifications in the future.

For now, I wanted to give you a taste of a few cool Fords displayed at SEMA this year. Look for complete SEMA coverage on our website and in our March issue.
