This '81 CJ-7 belongs to Widodo Teguh of Solo, Indonesia. Widodo tells us that aftermarket Jeep parts are very hard to come by in Indonesia, so much of what you see here was fabricated from scratch or grafted on from other production-based vehicles. Additions include a front shackle reversal with stock springs and buggy leaves, an Isuzu master cylinder, a polished and ported intake manifold, custom headers, and a DUI ignition system. The rig rides on 36-inch Super Swamper TSLs up front and 37-inch Boggers out back. Other rare upgrades include Staun internal bead locks, a Dana 300 with 4:1 Lo-Max gearing, a Currie twin-stick setup, ultra heavy-duty custom driveshafts, 4.88:1 gears, Detroit Lockers, and Yukon chromoly shafts with Super Joints up front.
Dump Bump XJ
Check out this'99 Jeep Cherokee Sport owned by Kelly Holladay of Lehi, Utah. It features a 6-inch Teraflex long-arm suspension system with a custom 6.5-inch leaf pack in back. A set of Center Line Hellcats are wrapped in 33-inch Goodyear MT/Rs, and a set of Skyjacker shocks help keep everything under control. Additional mods include custom skidplates, Flowmaster exhaust, K&N intake kit, and a Kargo Master roof rack with fullsize spare, bike racks, Hi-Lift Jack, shovel, and axe.
This '06 Ford Expedition Limited belongs to Chris Nossett of Fort Lewis, Washington. The rig sports a stock 5.4L V-8 with a K&N intake and a Magnaflow exhaust system. The suspension consists of a Rize Industries 6-inch lift, which makes plenty of room for 35-inch Mickey Thompson ATZ tires mounted to 20-inch wheels. Future additions include a Defender roof rack and a Superchips downloader.
One Sweet Mega Cab
Robyn Wourms of Okotoks, Alberta, Canada, sent in this shot of her '06 Dodge Mega Cab diesel. It started life as a showroom-stock 3/4-ton, but Robyn added a KORE race-series suspension system, Glass Works fiberglass fenders and bed sides, and a set of Weld Commando PRO wheels wrapped with 37-inch Toyo MTs. A Lowrance GPS unit helps Robyn keep her bearings while negotiating backroads from Baja to Canada.
Big Sky Nismo
Bill Sweitzer of Kirksville, Missouri, drives this '05 Nissan Frontier NISMO Crew Cab. It sports a 4.0L V-6 and automatic transmission. Mods include a 3-inch suspension lift from PRG Products, Radflo coilovers, Total Chaos upper control arms, and a pair of rear Deaver mini-packs. The suspension makes plenty of room for 265/75R16 Firestone Destination M/Ts. Soon Bill plans to add a cold-air intake, NISMO headers, dual exhaust, a front Shrockworks bumper, rock sliders, and a winch. More Power, Please
Mark Cirelli of Hollister, California, drives this sweet '69 Chevy K-20 pickup. It's powered by a brand-new GM Performance crate 572ci building 720 hp on race gas with help from a 1050 Dominator carburetor. The power runs through a built Turbo 400 automatic and NP205 transfer case before being split between a set of stout axles. Up front is a Dana 60, and out back is a GM 14-bolt. Both feature Detroit Lockers and 4.10:1 gearing. For sand traction, Mark installed two 35-inch Super Scoop paddle tires in the rear.
Up a Creek in Virginia
Chris Miller of Bridgewater, Virginia, drives this '93 YJ Jeep Sahara with a 4.5-inch Rubicon Express suspension lift and 33-inch Widetrack Baja MT tires. Chris also added a Champion 7,500-pound winch and Hella 500 driving lights.
