Our letter writers are getting a copy of the all-new movie End of Watch that hit stores January 22, 2013. It's a realistic look into the life of two officers in one of America's roughest areas as they are targeted by a drug cartel. The End of Watch package will include a Blu-Ray copy, a DVD copy, and a digital copy of the movie for your perusing pleasure.
Guys, this car raced the Mint and the Baja 1000 in 1976 and 1977. I'm also working on another one of MT's cars that raced from 1978 to 1980 in both races (yellow one).
Also included is the cover of the July '76 OFF-ROAD when the car was featured.

Stuck is Stuck
Here is my son's green '78 F-150 we built. He has no mercy on it! Here's a picture of it seriously stuck just shy of turtle-over in a mud hole. No one would believe that thing was a cover truck of a magazine once! What looked like simple mud puddles were three to six feet of goo. Like quicksand, walking along and then all of a sudden just dropping to your crotch in a hole that looked one inch deep! The passenger front claw wasn't even close to touching the bottom and the bed hitting the side of the mud hole was all that kept it sort of right side up. It took me four hours of winching, two winches, three snatch blocks, and two come-a-longs to get it on all fours and out of this swamp using my old '74 Ford crew on 39-inch Michelin XLs. I admit it was a little fun getting him out, despite the snow and ice (snow melted and the second picture was taken just prior to it all icing up).
That is my son in the gray sweatshirt in the first picture with his friend, Dalton.
