Tony Rojo was the first to convert over to the Blue Oval after years of hearing his father encouraging him to ditch his XJ Cherokee rockcrawler in favor of a Bronco. Tony decided to listen to his father’s words of wisdom and pulled the trigger on a clean 1993 Ford Bronco in stock trim and quickly began modifying it, first with 2-inch-lift coils and Bilstein 5100 shocks. As soon as he wanted to go faster, Tony upgraded to a Camburg 4-inch cut- and turned-beam long-travel suspension with extended radius arms and Deaver leaf springs. But, as the speeds increased, he realized he needed much better shocks to keep up with the whooped-out racecourses of Baja.
