Open up the factory hood and you’ll see two more cylinders than what came from the factory. Scott was able to stuff in a basically stock aluminum block/aluminum head motor pulled from a Chevy SS TrailBlazer. Modifications to the engine itself are minimal for reliability purposes. Plus, why would you need to do anything to a powerful V-8 stuffed into a quarter-ton platform when you’re already spinning tires through gearshifts while getting 20 mpg? On the passenger side, an ARB air compressor that powers the front and rear lockers resides next to the K&N air intake. Underneath, a 4L60E automatic transmission was mated to the stock NP231 transfer case using an Advance Adapters adapter.
