Like the front axle, the stock Toyota rear axle was completely rebuilt and ftted with an ARB Air Locker. The FJ came stock with rear drum brakes, but they have been replaced with a Man-A-Fre rear disc brake conversion kit that provides GM singlepiston foating calipers and the same Australianbuilt rotors as the front. The rear suspension is almost a carbon copy of the front and is comprised of 2.5-in-lift Old Man Emu leaf springs, Old Man Emu shocks, and Man-A-Fre shackles, pins, and bushings. Like the front, this setup creates 3.5 inches of lift.
