The cockpit is simple and mostly functional. Carpet padding laid atop the seats saved our butts from a lifetime of discomfort. The blanket is there to keep the transmission fluid that was coming up through the floorboard out of our eyes. Safety first. As usual, there was a speedometer present, but it didn’t work, and, of course, there was no gas gauge. We added the Viair portable compressor to the trans tunnel to refill the front airbags on the fly.
