The front axle is a high-pinion ball-joint Dana 60 from a ’93 Ford F-350. It contains 4.88 gears but is otherwise stock for now. A locker and 35-stub shafts are at the top of Chris’ list of future upgrades. The short driver-side axletube on the front axle made suspension packaging a challenge. Chris and his brother-in-law Mike Flake built a three-link that uses two upper links and one lower. The lower link is 21⁄2x1⁄2-wall DOM tubing, and the uppers are 2x1⁄4-wall, all fitted with EMF rod ends.
