One issue we had to deal with every time we got back to pavement was a bike race. The issue was that the racers would often be two to three wide, forcing vehicular traffic to pass partially in the oncoming lane. Called the Tour de Big Bear, there were 25-, 50-, 75-, and 100-mile options with anywhere from 702 feet to 7,425 feet of elevation change.
