One oddball in the Collection is the Ford GPA, an amphibious version of the WWII Jeep. This one was built in 1942 or 1943 and, after being surplused out in 1946, finally made its way to Smith’s collection. While it is not currently seaworthy, Director Logan plans to have all of the vehicles in the collection running and driving as real-world survivors. Other rigs in the collection include a CJ-8, a CJ-7, a ’48 Jeepster, a ’47 CJ-2A fire truck,a ’47 Willys Wagon, and a few other unique rides.
