When Dennis Wood of Teraflex brought his new Cosmos Blue JK Wrangler Unlimited to the shop, he heard comments from coworkers wondering why he purchased that color and saying it looked like a Smurfmobile. Dennis knew that was it. He embraced the color and painted the Jeep all blue. Even though Poison Spyder Customs has a YJ of the same name, another Papa Smurf was born.
Papa Smurf is no cartoon Jeep. It features a Teraflex-installed 2012 Mopar 6.4L VVT Hemi with 545RFE automatic behind it. The Rubicon NVG241OR transfer case was modified with a Tera 2 Low kit so Dennis can run in 2WD Low range in the rocks. The Teraflex 6-inch Elite LCG long arm suspension was augmented with Fox Racing shocks, Teraflex SpeedBumps, and a Teraflex Dual Rate swaybar. A Tera JK HD 44 front and CRD 60 rear features 5.38 gears and ARB Air Lockers. Teraflex front Epic and rear Outback bumpers protect the Jeep and the Teraflex JK HD rear tire carrier carries the full-size spare with nary a rattle.
