Out back is a Dana 80 rear axle that was sourced from a ’94 Dodge 2500. This axle has the stock 3.73 gearing, but has been fitted with an ARB Air Locker and a disc brake conversion that uses GM discs and calipers. The rear suspension is a JD Fab-created four-link setup with 16-inch-travel King 3.0 remote-reservoir coilover shocks, King 2.5 bumpstops, JD Fab limiting straps, and a Speedway Engineering sway bar with custom JD Fab links. The four-link bars are made from 1.750-inch-diameter, 0.250-inch-wall 4130 material. In this photo you can also see the rear-mounted Optima YellowTop battery and the skidplate that protects the custom 60-gallon Harmon Racing Cells fuel cell. JD Fab says that this generous fuel capacity gives the FJ60 a cruising range of 1,000 miles—more than enough to flee doomsday chaos.
