The cowl, dash, and hood were adaptations of the Bantam Model 60 Roadster tooling. Many small parts came from the Bantam car parts bin. If you look closely just behind the front seats, you can see the holes for an experimental machine gun pedestal mount. Under the floor, you can find corresponding modifications. Bantam 1007 was tested by the armored branch as a reconnaissance vehicle, and a light machine gun was a part of that role. Photos exist of 1007 being tested at Fort Knox.
