2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport - Black Ops JK

“Black Ops” brings to mind special operations groups carrying out dangerous, secret missions in enemy territory. When talking about Scott Galbraith’s JK Unlimited Wrangler, Black Ops refers to the airsoft weapons company of which he’s one of the principals. Scott’s Black Ops Airsoft Rifles, pistols, mortars, grenades, and other products, are high-quality professional-grade metal weapons that are much more than toys. In fact, they’re used for training by police departments and other agencies. Scott wanted his new 2013 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited Sport to perform as well as his Airsoft weapons.

To this end, he recruited the crew at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive in St. George, Utah, to build the Wrangler. They started by installing a Teraflex Elite LCG 4-inch Prerunner suspension and Jeep JK Unlimited Wrangler specific Tera CRD 60 front and rearends. Yukon 5.13 gears and ARB Air Lockers were installed front and rear. Fox 2.5 internal bypass reservoir shocks were enlisted to perform damping chores at all four corners.

A Mopar JK rear bumper and Teraflex aluminum tire carrier perform rear guard duty. The Teraflex carrier handles the heavy 37-inch tire and wheel combination easily. There are no rattles or squeaks. For armor, the Black Ops JK Unlimited uses a Teraflex front bumper and Mopar rear bumper, with GenRight rockers as flank guards. A Warn Tabor 9,000-pound winch is held in reserve in case recovery reinforcements are needed. A Teraflex aluminum spare carrier is lightweight, strong, and carries the spare with no rattles.

The team at Dixie did their usual great work, and the Black Ops JK Unlimited was soon ready for action. It’s turned out to be an outstanding JK Unlimited and a perfect match to Black Ops Airsoft weapons.
