Note how the exhaust goes over the frame and comes out of a hole in the bed to keep it from getting smashed. When the truck was painted, the black SR5 patches were added at the front of the rear fenders, which are often unnoticed by everyone but diehard Toyota enthusiasts. Across from the exhaust an Optima RedTop battery sits under the cab where the factory gas tank used to reside. Little touches are often overlooked on dedicated wheeling rigs because they take a lot of time and effort for something that is not essential or obvious to the average person. That is a shame because the details are often what draw us to a vehicle to feature in this magazine, and they little things are some of my favorite aspects of my own truck.
