Under the front are the original factory leaf springs supplemented with a fresh pair of NAPA shocks and steering stabilizer. The aged springs are now supported by a ‘72 FJ55 axlehousing. The axle was rebuilt and the outer components replaced with stouter mini-truck parts, including the manual locking hubs. Larger 4Runner brake calipers and vented rotors were installed to increase braking power. Gears are 4.10s for a good mix of off-road and street performance.
