Funny how plans don’t always work out. We planned on hoofing it through the entire 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nevada, in one day. Yeah, right. The 2014 edition of the show was so huge that we only covered about 40 percent. It’s not that we’re slackers (OK, we are) the show was just so dang big that we couldn’t do all in a day. We even arrived two hours before the show opened to get a head start. So, since we still have more hoofing to do, we figured we’d just trot out some of the cool rigs we saw today and then do a follow-up story tomorrow after we peruse the rest of the show.
Now if you’re not familiar with SEMA, it’s an industry-only show that happens each year. One of the most fascinating aspects is the vehicles that are on display. Some are like Vegas showgirls, while others are more down to earth. Both kinds will grab your attention, but for different reasons. What you’re going to see here is a little bit of everything. There’s something for everyone. And we haven’t even made it to the off-road or outdoor areas of the show yet, so hang on to your hats, because tomorrow’s follow-up story will feature even more cool rigs.
