Fabulous Five: Brubaker’s Five SEMA Favorites (Part 2)

Yesterday, I wrote a story about my five favorite vehicles for that day from here at the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Well, a lot has happened since then. You see, I finally had the opportunity to peruse all the rigs in the off-road section and outside. Why is that important? Well, that’s where the vast majority of vehicles are, especially the ones we’re interested in as off-roaders.

Let’s review. Four Wheeler Editor Christian Hazel and I have been choosing favorites. Specifically, our favorite rigs in the show that we would like to take home. Have you ever wondered what types of 4x4s trip our trigger? Probably not, but we’ll tell you anyway.

I hit the show floor early and was utterly blown away by the sheer number of vehicles in the show. As I happily snapped photos, in the back of my mind I was wondering how the heck I was going to whittle scores of rigs (I shot almost 70 today) down to my five favs. But in the end, it wasn’t that hard. There are some things we just know, and we know what we like.

So, here are my five favs from today.

This ’14 Chevy Silverado 1500 looks great without being gaudy. By now you’ve probably noticed I have a thing for matte paint because four of the five trucks I’ve chosen have a matte finish. Funny thing, I didn’t realize I had chosen four matte-finish vehicles until I was writing this.
