SEMA 2015 Show Stopper: Jeremy Benson’s Incredible Cummins-Powered 1951 Dodge Power WagonPosted in Features on November 4, 2015 0) (
Jeremy Benson rescued this 1951 Dodge Power Wagon from rotting away in Washington state. He promptly created a one-of-a-kind rig that sports a slew of incredible mods and it was a huge hit at the 2015 SEMA Show.
The truck has a custom chassis that was fabbed by Jeremy. A 12-valve Cummins turbodiesel was set in place and the engine is said to produce approximately 325 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed through a NV4500 transmission and an Atlas T-case, where it’s split to the rear ARB-locked 14-bolt axle and the front custom ARB-locked Dana 60 axle.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Watch the video to learn even more about this amazing truck straight from the builder.
Even though the truck sports lots of the latest off-road tech, it still retains the patina of a more than 60-year-old truck.
The 12-valve Cummins has a turbo from a 24-valve Cummins engine, among many other mods.
The rear axle is a 14-bolt that has an ARB Air Locker along with many other mods.
Interior mods include a full rollcage.
