Ultimate Utility Vehicle: A Closer Look At Toyota’s Supercharged Sienna/Tacoma 4WD Mega Minivan At SEMA 2015

We see vehicle bodies transplanted onto 4WD chassis quite often. Heck, just in the last few weeks we’ve seen a Firebird and Monte Carlo, each set on a half-ton truck frame. We even saw a Corvette body on a truck chassis powered by a turbodiesel. However, it’s not often we see a manufacturer engaging in body swap madness, so we were pleasantly surprised when Toyota unveiled the Sienna minivan-bodied, Tacoma-chassis, Ultimate Utility Vehicle (UUV), which was on display at the 2015 SEMA Show.

This vehicle, not intended for sale (too bad), has a staggering number of mods, including a TRD supercharger; Wilwood brakes; four-link long-travel front suspension with tubular upper control arms and 15.750 inches of travel; spherical rod-ended steering system; 33-inch Nitto Mud Grappler tires; 22-inch wheels; N-Fab custom front bumper, custom winch mount, and custom side steps; suicide front doors; custom front fenders, door skins, and rear bumper; custom roof rack with LED lightbars; custom dashboard, interior panels, and laptop mounts; TracVision satellite system; and night vision.

In addition to night vision, the UUV also has a number of forward- and rear-facing LED lights to light the way at night.

The body of the UUV has a number of one-off parts like the custom N-Fab front bumper with custom winch mount.

The truck rolls on 33-inch Nitto tires and 22-inch wheels.
