Trophy Truck racer BJ Baldwin has built a franchise out of his outrageous and daring driving, and the latest installment of the racer’s highly anticipated Recoil series is out. Recoil 2 took place in Ensenada, Mexico, with plenty of jumps and full-throttle action. This time, Baldwin is chasing down his nemesis, a Sasquatch named “Bruce” around the Tacoma, Washington area.
The scene starts off with Bruce taking a dookie in Baldwin’s helmet. After that insult, the race is on, with the two rivals taking alternate routes to their final destination. Plenty of creative angles, slowed-down jumps and stunts for dramatic effect, and sweet music from the 800hp V-8 engine. As a testament to the ruggedness of the Toyo tires, Baldwin claims only one set of tires was used in the making of Recoil 3, even taking into account the copious amount of drifting, donuts and jumps that were a part of it.
Pirouetting across the Tacoma Narrows bridge with plenty of tire smoke, Baldwin finally catches up with Bruce, and the two face off in an empty stadium. However, Baldwin is in for a bit of a surprise when he gets out of his truck to confront his feral nemesis in person. You can watch the full Recoil 3 video below.
