The super-clean ’76 CJ-7 is Mike’s most recently “finished” project and had its shakedown run about 11⁄2 years ago. The tub is from an ’86 CJ-7 with axles from a ’79. The Dana 30 has an Eaton Truetrac while the Model 20 holds an Ox Locker. Power comes from a warmed-up AMC 360ci V-8 with 9:1 compression, a Comp Cams cam, Davis Unified Ignition distributor, an Edelbrock intake, and a Holley Truck Avenger carb. The wiring harness is from Centech Wiring. The AMC TH400 is currently getting a new flexplate but was rebuilt with a 4L80E 34-element sprag gear. The cage was custom built by Protofab. Fenders, rear fender flares, and rocker guards are from C&C Fabrication and the bumpers were built by TNS Jeep. Eagle Alloys hold 33x12.50R15 BFG KM2s.
