How Not To Lose Your Thumbs On A Steering Wheel!

One of the first tips a novice wheeler gets is to NOT put their thumbs in the spokes of the steering wheel while driving off road. While it may seem crazy to not have that firm clenched-on grip with your thumbs wrapped around the leather, it’s a definite no-no. If the front tires hit a rock just right, the wheel can whip around with such force as it can actually break your thumbs! We’ve had it happen to our buddies and severely bruised our own digits, and it isn’t a pretty sight. Check out this video to see why we say “keep your thumbs out”- unless you want to lose them!
