Rise from the Ashes
Christina Sullivan from Glenwood Springs, Colorado, submitted her 2015 Jeep Wrangler JKU known as “Phoenix.” After the devastating loss of her previous Jeep in a fire in 2017, Christina was anxious to get back on the trails in Utah and Colorado. Phoenix sports Dana Ultimate 60 axles front and rear, 40-inch Cooper STT Pro tires on 17-inch TrailReady beadlocks, custom-fab’d frenched rear corners by Lyft Offroad, Rock Hard Sport Cage, and a Warn 10-S winch. These are only a few of the awesome mods that make this one trail-taming beast.
Argentina Loves Jeeps
We had a little bit of a language barrier with this submission from Beli Alasino from Villa Carlos Paz in Córdoba, Argentina. He tells us his 1956 CJ-5 has been refurbished with a 24-valve Mitsubishi 3500 engine and Mitsubishi axles with 5.13 gears; the front sports an ARB Air Locker and the rear is a Mitsubishi locker. He has King coilovers on the front and has customized the grille to resemble an old Willys. He is running 35-inch tires. Gracias por compartir tu Jeep, Beli!
Phoenix, Arizona, is home to Mario Ceniceros and his 2.5L 1995 Jeep YJ. Sitting on a 4.5-inch Rubicon Express lift and 35-inch tires, it is a fun desert rock runner. A waggy Dana 44 front axle with 5.38 Grizzly gears, Yukon 4340 axleshafts, and Hard Core hubs complement the Scout 44 rear setup with a disc brake conversion. We hope to see you on the trail sometime!
Jacob Marshall from Dahlonega, Georgia, sent in his 2017 Jeep Wrangler. He is running a 6-inch Rubicon Express long-arm kit with Fox shocks, Currie Antirock sway bars front and rear, and Gear wheels with 37x12.50x17 Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 tires. Inside is a Rock Hard full sport cage, and the exterior has Smittybilt Gen2 front and rear bumpers, Smittybilt tire carrier, and a Warn VR8-S winch up front.
Her Baby “Blu”
Pennsylvania resident Crystal Lynn Haldaway shared her 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with us. “Blu” currently has a 2.5-inch lift and 265/70R17 tires on Jeep JK wheels with 2-inch wheel spacers. Crystal has added a bull bar on the front with PIAA 540 series plasma foglights and a roof rack. She tells us that she couldn’t imagine not having this Jeep in her life; Blu is her pride and joy.
East Coast LJ
Mark Stout from New Hampshire gave us limited information on his 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. It’s the Sahara edition, and he tells us it is number 336 of 1000 and only has 37,000 miles on it. Mark added a 4-inch Rough Country X-Series lift, Smittybilt front bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch, KC Gravity Pro lights, Adams driveshafts, and 33x12.50x15 Goodyear MT/R tires.
Lovin’ the Jeep Life
Kiele Felker from Michigan is just 19 years old, but she already loves the Jeep life with her 2011 Jeep Wrangler JKU. Kiele told us that she took her first off-road trip recently and is hooked for life. Her pink-accented Sahara is outfitted with a TeraFlex 2.5-inch lift and 35-inch BFG KO2 tires on Mamba M23 wheels. Some of the exterior mods are Extreme Terrain HD bumpers front and rear, Ace Engineering fender deletes and inner fenders, Jeep People rock rails, and Rugged Ridge bug deflector and rear body armor.
Peoria, Arizona, is where Billy Marquardt hangs his hat. Arizona has some awesome trails, and it looks like Billy’s 2004 Jeep TJ Rubicon can tame most of them. The 5.5-inch Rubicon Express Extreme Duty lift and Fox 2.0 shocks give plenty of clearance for the 37x13.50x17 Nitto Mud Grappler tires to crawl over boulder after boulder. The Dana 44 axles have been upgraded to 4.88 gears, the front has a factory locker, and the rear was replaced with an ARB Air Locker. Yukon 4340 ’shafts fill the rear and RCV ’shafts are in the front. Passenger protection is provided by a Poison Spyder cage; recovery is up to a Warn winch mounted on a RuffStuff front bumper.
