Top to bottom, this Super Jeep got the full treatment. The driveline is stock, with an open AMC 20 rear axle and Dana 30 front. Axle ratios are 3.54:1, which work nicely with the torquey 304 V-8. The T-150 heavy-duty three-speed manual was the only listed trans for the CJ-5, no automatic for the bobtail this year. Even though it wasn’t listed, if you had the right connections, you could special order a T-18 behind the 304. The Dana 300 transfer case was a few years away and this era Jeep had the venerable Dana 20.
