Solo Motorsports' Bronco II Baja PrerunnerPosted in Features on October 21, 2013 Comment (0)
We happened to stop by Solo Motorsports' shop in Covina, CA over the weekend and came across the Raddest little Bronco II ever.
This thing is still sporting the factory 2.9-liter V6 along with the factory 5-speed manual. Bobby at Solo Motorsports tells us that its has over 10,000 hard charging prerunning miles on it from Baja, Mexico alone.
Of course the front end of this Bronco II was swapped out in favor of Solo's 4-inch wider per side Cut and Turn Dana 35 Twin Traction Beam front end. A pair of King coilovers and Bypass shocks at all four corners help soak up the whooped out desert roads while prerunning before races down in Baja.
Bobby tells us the 35-inch BFGoodrich Baja T/A Project race tires have held up great throughout the constant desert abuse it sees.
In case you're wondering, weight distribution needs to be dialed in perfectly otherwise the truck won't ride as well as it does. To make sure it's always balanced, the spare 35-inch BFGoodrich Baja TA race tire sits forward of the rear axle while all the camping, tools and recovery gear sit as close to the rear of the front seats as possible to keep the weight balance in check.
What do you think, is this the coolest little Bronco II you've ever seen?
