Welcome to the Jeep Chix edition of Sideways! This month, we’re all about the women and all about the Jeeps. If you have a Jeep and a special lady, or are the special lady, we want to see it! Send us a photo and tell us a bit about the Jeep and female in the pic. The image should be 1,600 by 1,200 pixels, or around 2 MB, and a JPG (maximum quality), BMP, or TIFF file. No PDFs. Email the image and backstory to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: Sideways.
Chix in Jeep Thoughts
This is Stephane Lapolice’s gal, posing in Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada, by the St. Maurice River. “She always dreamed to have one to go wheeling, so she finally decided to buy one as a gift from her to her at the age of 40.” It’s an ’08 JK, and since Stephane is in charge of modifications, there’s a 31⁄2-inch Rubicon Express lift and 35s. Coming soon will be 5.13s, new bumpers, and a supercharger.
“This is my grandmother in my ’83 CJ-7 on her 83rd birthday. She had never been in a Jeep before, and I have been talking about this thing for years while building it, so this Jeep ride just about made her day. She is doing the “royal wave,” as she likes to call it.
Jeff’s Two Chix
We’re pretty sure Jeff Cumpston of Collbran, Colorado, will be happy to see “both my honeys in the mag.” That four-legged honey is an ’80 CJ-7, and he’s the third owner of it. It sports a Chevy 350, 4:10s, a Detroit Locker rear and Powertrax front, Moser and Superior axles, an SM 465 with a Dana 300 transfer case, and a full ’cage. “It’s a pretty cool old-school build on 35s,” said Jeff.
“As you can see, Jeeps run in the family. Here is my ’13 JK with my 3-year-old Julie and her Barbie Jammin’ Jeep. I started my little girl out early and plan on keeping it up. Mine is a work in progress with lots of room for improvement, but I’m sure that she will appreciate all of the hard work when she gets it for her 16th birthday.”
