Most '88-98 Chevy kits were built before the suspension companies started casting taller replacement knuckles in order to keep the upper control arms in the factory positions. Knuckle kits are not necessarily better, but they are a heck of a lot easier to install. We started our Series II kit install by placing the upper control arm drop brackets. The lowest mounting points of the brackets are for the upper control arms, and those middle two tabs are for an extra rod end crossmember that ties into the differential drop brackets and adds strength to the kit.
