You won't get far on a difficult trail with exposed drivetrain parts. While Jeep Wranglers TJs are equipped with factory skidpans beneath the transfer case, other vital components such as the transmission and engine-oil pan are left to take a beating from rocks and other trail obstacles. Even the thin, factory skidpan is questionable in strength so the transfer case and rear yoke are also vulnerable to damage. Best plan of attack? Beef up this area of your vehicle with a set of purpose-built skidplates such as Rokmen's Up Armor underbody skidplate system.

The Rokmen Up Armor underbody skidplate system is designed for '03-to-'06 Jeep Wrangler TJ and Unlimited (LJ) models. The system combines a high-clearance transfer case belly pan that replaces the factory skidpan, along with an engine/transmission skidplate, to create total protection to the underbody area. The high-clearance belly pan also creates an additional 2 1/4 inches of ground clearance under the transfer case, so off-road capability is also improved along with the added protection of heavy-duty skidplates.

Installation of Rokmen's Up Armor underbody skidplate system requires use of at least a 1-inch body lift. If your vehicle is not equipped with a body lift the company can package the skidplate system with a JKS 1.25-inch body lift and 1-inch motor mount lift at an extra cost. The Rokmen Up Armor system is manufactured from 1/4-inch and 3/16-inch high-grade steel that is laser-cut, CNC-formed, and fully TIG welded. With such a durable construction and stable mounting configuration the Rokmen components are more than capable at providing lasting protection to your 4x4.
