In keeping with the "no overbuilding" mandate (self-imposed), we didn't want to lift the "J_ep" too high. The chosen tire size was 265/75R16 (32-inch) so we didn't need to lift the XJ more than a few inches. Skyjacker's three-inch Value Flex lineup fit the bill perfectly. In addition to providing additional ride height, this system includes complete replacement rear leaf springs so that we can do away with the sacked-out stockers. The lower front control arms are replaced with tubular control arms that are worlds stronger than the thin, stamped-steel OEM arms. The replacement lower control arms are fitted with grease zerks at both ends for easy maintenance and squeak-free operation. The axle end includes a urethane-encased spherical joint that enables freedom of movement unmatched by the factory system. The system includes quick-disconnect front sway bar links. We went for the optional steering stabilizer, and topped it off with four Skyjacker Hydro 7000 shocks.
