A slip yoke eliminator (SYE) isn’t mandatory at a three-inch lift height, but we wanted to use one anyway because we'd need to drop the transfer case if there were post-installation driveline vibrations. In addition, eliminating the transfer case slip yoke means you can remove the rear driveshaft if it's damaged and drive home on the front driveshaft. We contacted Tom Wood for our SYE and driveshaft needs. Tom's website (www.4xshaft.com) has very complete instructions for identifying your stock transfer case and stock driveshaft. Part of the process was to measure the width of the stock U-joint at the axle end.
