Installing a proven steering kit on a known suspension configuration is one thing. When doing an axle swap and building a steering setup from scratch, it needs to be fully cycled through the full range of suspension movement and steering angles to ensure there is no binding or touching of moving parts. Many builders will mock up much of their suspension and steering with the axle in full suspension compression, but the steering operation should be checked under maximum articulation conditions as well.
