Ford Steering Boxes

Ford steering boxes, such as those found on Rangers and F-150s have a couple of weaknesses when it comes to high-performance use. First, the ratio is slow so it takes a lot of arm-waving to properly steer at high speeds in the rough. Second, there's a set screw inside the Ford box that is a common source of cracking. Howe has a custom reinforcing ring to prevent the cracks, but the best option is to swap in a Saginaw box instead.
