12. With the stock wheels and tires still on the truck, you can see how much room we gained for our new set of shoes. We took a test drive around Orange County and into a local canyon to see what our new suspension was made of. On the road, the truck felt close to stock. Many bolt-in coilover applications like this make your on-road ride harsh. We are off-road guys but still want our trucks to ride well on the pavement. Off-road, the sloppy, uncontrolled ride of the stock suspension was gone and replaced with very controlled wheel movement. So far it seems Fox got the valving right combining a smooth road ride with controlled dirt performance. Once the stock street tires are replaced we can have some real fun and report back with more details. Stay tuned for the next article where we will install 18-inch Pro Comp 7031 black wheels and 305/60R18 Pro Comp Xtreme AT tires and really get test time in.
