Special Sandwich Adapter

Traditional oil bypass filtration systems require you to tap into your oil system (usually at the oil pressure sending unit) and side-stream (bypass) the oil through the bypass filter. You then have to return the oil to the pan through another connection. This method is labor-intensive and since you're side-streaming the oil, you don't have all the oil flowing through the engine's lubrication system. By contrast, the TopDog V makes its supply and return oil connections using a special sandwich adapter that goes between the engine block and your main oil filter. This method preserves the engine's original oil volume, so all the oil is available for the lubrication system.
