A big set of dual, 8-inch round HID off-road lamps would be awesome, but who's got $1,200 laying around these days? For many of us, the dream of owning HID lamps is just that; a thought we wake up from the following day. If you can't get your hands on a friend's credit card, we suggest looking into this alternative, HID conversion headlamp kits. For the money, you won't get this much bang for your buck elsewhere.

In order to do this properly, we needed to start with a popular light. The Hella Rallye 4000 lamp is one of the most commonly used lights running around the desert today. It's a big, bright, 8-inch lamp that is fairly inexpensive (about $100 per light) and already adorns many off-road rides. Baja HID sells their Xentec HID kit for around $100 giving you the ability to upgrade to a pair of HID lights for only $200!
