Not only did the engine leak oil, it seemed to also burn a little bit as well. I decided to try adding a little thicker weight engine oil than I normally would-a 20W-50 Amsoil synthetic-in hopes that it might not seep past the rings so much. I wasn't sure how much it would help, but it certainly couldn't hurt and was worth the $60 gamble before trying to smog the vehicle.
