The ProRock 44 also accepts the knuckles, wheel bearings, and brakes from Dana 30 JK front axles, as well Dana 30 and Dana 44 TJ front axles. In addition to its standard 3-inch-diameter by 5/16-inch-thick axle tubes (stock is 2.5x0.25-inch) the ProRock 44 offers greater housing rigidity and strength and the highest ground clearance of any Dana 44 axle. It offers a high-pinion design and is equipped with the same degrees of pinion and caster as a stock JK axle. The ProRock 44 is also available in an "Unlimited" version that offers even thicker axle tubes and increased caster to accommodate taller lifts.
