Nitto’s Go-To Grappler - Terra Grappler Tire ReviewPosted in How To on August 1, 2011 Comment (0)
Nitto hasn’t focused much fanfare on its Terra Grappler lately, but we’ve been testing a set for about five months now and have found there’s still plenty to rave about. Hard pack, sand, chunky rocks, loose dirt, and pavement are all places where the Terra Grappler shines. If you need a great all-around tire, consider the Terra as Nitto’s go-to Grappler.
Nitto’s Terra Grappler is an all-terrain tread that excels in a variety of conditions. The void-to-tread ratio produces ideal floatation in soft and sandy terrain. Circumferential and lateral voids channel away water during wet weather and combine with high-density siping to reduce hydroplaning and increase grip during winter driving. The staggered shoulder lugs increase grip in the rocks and claw the terrain when it gets loose. Coupling joints between the shoulder and mid-lugs reduce tread flex and increase high-speed stability.
