5. Here’s where you gain the travel advantage with the new A-arms. The stock arm uses an OEM ball joint. The JD arms replace that joint with a spherical uniball with a Teflon liner and misalignment bushings to provide increased angular travel for greater suspension droop. We’re running LT285/70R17 size tires and have not modified our fenders. The new arms can allow for more up travel as well if you trim the factory bump stops and have fender clearance for the tires.
