What Competitors Were Using for 2012

Pit Bull Rocker

The Pitbull Rocker is a radial tire designed for extreme off-road use.

Pit Bull Mad Dog

The Pitbull Mad Dog is a radial tire built for mud, but with a slightly less aggressive tread pattern than the Rocker.

General Grabber

You can get “Red Labels” for the street, but not this General Grabber. It’s a pure race tire, not for the highway. It has had additional grooves added to the tread blocks and some siping that runs around the diameter.

BFGoodrich Baja T/A

This BFGoodrich Baja T/A is made for high-speed desert racing. This is the tire found on many Trophy Trucks. This tire has the Baja tread pattern. It appears to be fitted with an on-board inflation set-up like they run in the Dakar Rally.

BFGoodrich Krawler TA/XT

With a name like Krawler TA/XT you would expect this BFGoodrich tire to be made for the rocks and it is, but it is also a street-legal radial.

BFGoodrich Baja T/A KRT

This BFGoodrich Baja T/A is built on the same carcass as the standard T/A Trophy Truck tire, but has a more aggressive tread design and a softer tread compound.

Goodyear Wrangler MT/R

This Goodyear Wrangler MT/R is for off-highway use only. It has a soft tread compound specifically for rock crawling. The “MT” stands for maximum traction and the “R” for reinforced. It has Kevlar belt construction.

Nitto Trail Grappler

The Nitto Trail Grappler has an aggressive tread design and a squared-off design with a thick carcass.
