The Pitbull Mad Dog is a radial tire built for mud, but with a slightly less aggressive tread pattern than the Rocker.
You can get “Red Labels” for the street, but not this General Grabber. It’s a pure race tire, not for the highway. It has had additional grooves added to the tread blocks and some siping that runs around the diameter.
BFGoodrich Baja T/A
This BFGoodrich Baja T/A is made for high-speed desert racing. This is the tire found on many Trophy Trucks. This tire has the Baja tread pattern. It appears to be fitted with an on-board inflation set-up like they run in the Dakar Rally.
BFGoodrich Krawler TA/XT
With a name like Krawler TA/XT you would expect this BFGoodrich tire to be made for the rocks and it is, but it is also a street-legal radial.

This BFGoodrich Baja T/A is built on the same carcass as the standard T/A Trophy Truck tire, but has a more aggressive tread design and a softer tread compound.
Goodyear Wrangler MT/R
This Goodyear Wrangler MT/R is for off-highway use only. It has a soft tread compound specifically for rock crawling. The “MT” stands for maximum traction and the “R” for reinforced. It has Kevlar belt construction.
Nitto Trail Grappler
The Nitto Trail Grappler has an aggressive tread design and a squared-off design with a thick carcass.
Toyo Open Country M/T
This is a race-only Toyo Open Country M/T size of 40x15.50R17 with a little softer compound. You can see by the thick side lugs and aggressive tread design that it’s made for tough conditions.
This Falken WildPeak is an all-terrain tire but has been custom grooved to open up the voids between the tread blocks.
Another Falken Wildpeak all-terrain with extensive custom grooving to really open them up.
Still one more Falken WildPeak all-terrain with unique custom grooving. This one has some curves instead of just square blocks.
Interco Super Swamper IROK
The Interco Super Swamper IROK. This tire can be had in a bias ply or as a radial. Originally designed for mud, it has proved itself on the rocks, too, with legendary toughness.
This is a Maxxis Trepador, which means “climbing” in Spanish. It is a competition tire.

This bias ply tire is a Maxxis Creepy Crawler. You guessed it: It’s made specifically for competition rockcrawling. It looks like this one has been doing just that.
