Stiffener Plates Bolted Against Frame

07. Once holes were drilled through the frame, the stiffener plates were bolted up against the frame with small steel backing plates used on the back side to spread the bolt load across the stamped frame rail. The most tedious part of the installation is drilling the holes in the factory frame where the truss bolts up. With all the frame holes drilled, all the hardware was fully tightened.
