We ditched the entire rear suspension, as well. Atlas replacement leaf springs built to Pure Performance’s specs kept the rear a couple inches higher than stock and riding very smoothly for a three-quarter–ton truck. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much load-carrying capacity so we added Hellwig airbags and placed them on Daystar airbag cradles so that the axle could drop away from the airbags. The setup gives us excellent load-carrying abilities and has worked very well since we installed it more than six months ago.
