We used a Mac’s Custom Tie-Downs Pivot Plate to drop in this engine. It has multiple bolt patterns to fit a variety of manifolds and makes engine installs much easier by having a threaded shank that allows you to tilt the engine up to 35 degrees. This allows you to get the correct angle to move the engine in and out of the engine bay and to bolt the transmission to the engine. I had tried installing another engine in a different vehicle just weeks earlier using an old chain (which scratched the manifold) and cherry picker and it took hours to finally line it up correctly. This time was cut to just minutes using a Pivot Plate.
