The turbocharger features an integrated wastegate and blow-off valve. The latter is in place to relieve pressure during drop throttle, allowing the turbo to stay spooled up and eliminate turbo lag. The standard turbo system operates at 6-psi boost. By adding an intercooler (for on-road use) and/or water/methanol injection (for off-road use), boost can be increased to approximately 10 psi to create power improvements of 20 percent to 30 percent over the base turbo system.
