This is no seat-of-your-pants power-up kit that shows meager improvements in power and torque or makes your exhaust louder so you think you’re going faster—you will notice the improved performance immediately. If you don’t believe it, let the dyno numbers do the talking. With the 4.0L Sidewinder Turbo kit installed, the 4.0L delivered a gain of 66.1 horsepower at 4,400 rpm (201.6 horsepower compared to 135.5 horsepower stock) and 83.7 lb-ft of torque at 3,200 rpm (249.4 lb-ft compared to 165.7 lb-ft stock). That’s a 48 percent gain in horsepower over stock and a more than 50 percent gain in torque. In fact, torque output with the turbo at 1,600 rpm is greater than the peak torque in stock condition. This aggressive torque profile is ideal for rock-crawling and trail-running scenarios.
