It’s almost impossible to predict what might fail when you are out on the trail. For that simple reason, we almost always carry a few items that can be used to fix or cobble many things back together. These are good zip ties (get them at your local electrical supply store or expect many to break), bailing wire, duct tape, ratchet straps, band clamps, and a length of chain with a few long bolts. These things can be used for any number of repairs, from holding a broken axlehousing together to sewing up a cut tire, to patching a leaky soft top with duct tape.
